Abdelbasset Abdessamad, born in 1927 in the village of Almara'za, Egypt, is widely recognized as one of the most esteemed Quran reciters. From an early age, he studied the Holy Quran under the guidance of Cheikh Mohamed El Amir and later with Mohamed Selim Hamada. His career commenced with the National Radio Station in 1951, marking a prominent entry into the world of Quranic recitation with his rendition of Surah "Fater." In 1952, he was appointed as the official reciter for Al Imam Achafiî's mosque and subsequently for Al Imam Al Hussain's mosque in 1985. Abdessamad’s distinguished life came to an end on November 30, 1988.
